No "Right Field" ?!?!?!?
Bobbo's rendition of this song is simply OUTstanding!
After hearing him at Amelia, I wanted to learn to play it. But I can't even get close to Bobbo's mojo so screw it. On to other things. |

Good healthy attitude..... Hmmm... I can't tell if that statement is tinged with sarcasism or not.
Either way, my philosophy is that life is short and there is plenty of lower hanging fruit on the tree.
I'll leave "Right Field" to Bobbo and look for other songs where my own mojo key is a better fit for the lock. |

Location: south east Michigan | For the same reasons I have no intention of trying to tackle Moody's "Memphis" song.
Oh yes... I could strum the chords and hit the right notes but in my head I'd be hearing Pauls soulful warble and masterful playing.
Oh yes... I could try. I could even play it at an OFC gathering but I know what would happen. I can just picture Dave leaning over and whispering in Cliff's ear, then Cliff leaning over and whispering in Temp's ear. I know what they would be saying. They might think I wouldn't know, but I'd know. They would be saying "Yeah, it's okay and it's brave of him to even try but he's not near as good as Moody."
No.... I think I'll just let that one be. |

Location: Tennessee | FWIW ... Brad, I'm sure you could do RF real well. No question about it. I was serious about what I wrote above re: mojo. Anyone and everyone sounds good when they perform music from the inside out. But when you can't get the song to live inside you, that's when you gotta find a different song. Or just become a mechanical player. I prefer letting emotion rule.
Plenty of inside out stuff on songs from here and there. Still a few copies remaining. Act fast. |

I received the CD in the mail today. It's playing now - I'm jumping around between songs. I love it! I can't wait to hear the whole thing.
For all of folks who haven't gotten it yet, you are in for a treat!
Thanks for putting this together and making it available to us!

For those of you who think that will never happen, Bobbo has actually been to Boise and we met out by the airport. Some people have been to the most remote city in the 48 States. |

Location: Tennessee | Hey all ... first, thanks to all for the kind words and the support. Now that I've got my learning, mistakes and trepidation out of the way, I want to move forward on a project that will be slightly less amateur than what's been done thus far. Second, the lovely lady stonebobbo (Kimby-D) managed to get a second batch out into the mail system yesterday so the rest of you that sent me notes should get yours within the next day or three. And yes, the Captain and Moody both got a second it for their special help in this disc coming to life ... so blame them not me. ;) If anyone else missed the first and second go rounds for your very own copy and would like one, let me know and I'll see about getting Kimby-D to help me through another round.
P.S. I have a new found appreciation for what StandingOvation/Tupperware/Gallerinski/Witko did in support of this forum by leading the effort for the OFC discs. Mastering a disc from multiple sources, and then burning and shipping 100 or so discs is a huge undertaking. Thanks again for your work Dave. |

Day-um, now that's a fun CD! This 'un will definitely be in the player for the trip up to G8r Bowl II.
BTW, I'll never look at Ol' Saint Nick in the same light as in the past! :D
Thanx an 'O'full ! |

Went to the mailbox and the new Lee Valley Catalogue was there along with Bobbos album.
Played the disc on the car stereo full blast as our service club took down the Christmas decorations at a local senior care centre. [Hey Baby (come sit on Santas knee), really helped set the mood]
Good job and thank you so much for this. You're an inspiration. Copy of my album from Nevernever Studios will be on your way if it ever gets done. |
