| What that shows is that Tommy Emmanuel is a great guitar player and that Jorgenson and his band are at best 4th rate impersonators of gypsy swing. They are truly awful.
Tommy deserves way better. His playing was superb. |

Location: Chicago | Thanks Randy. Jaw-dropping. I'm not as critical as Clive, honestly. Them dudes is better than I'll ever be, and I, too, am in awe of Tommy E. Rockin!! |

I can take these guys for 2 or 3 minutes
(and they pissed THAT away with the "fretboard circle-jerk" before they started the tune)
and then I start looking for the remote . . . |

| I have an enormous collection of gypsy music, guitar and otherwise. But Jorgenson and his band are just way below mediocre. |

I don't know enough to tell who's good at it, and who's not.
And that's why I can connect more with Tommy Emmanuel than the others. T.E. will do renditions of songs that I'm familiar with. |

Location: SoCal | Tommy may be one of the best guitar players in the world today. Jorgenson is a terrific player and from everything I've heard or read, a great guy.
But T.E. is one of a kind.
This is more what I like to hear
T.E. & Richard Smith
And no matter who plays them, I hate the sound of the Django style guitars. If Django were alive today, he's be playing an Adamas I, no doubt...... |

Hang in there. You'll get the hang of it.
I'm still trying to figure out how to do a double quote. |
