Location: Maine | Lately I have been hooked on YouTube. The reason is that there is such a great wealth of music video on there featuring the original artist and some pretty good cover artists as well. This is a great learning tool if you're looking to learn a song. Some great acoustic stuff there that shows a lot of the original chords, etc. Look at an early video of Peter and Gordon and notice the guitars (guilds I think). There is then a video of them at a 35 year reunion. Both of them looking like they just escaped from the old folks home, but both of them playing the very same guitars. I guess once you've got a good thing...........hold on to it! |

BTW, YT is my second favorite site! |

You're going to show this post to your wife for your wedding anniversary, aren't you, so that you can get points and gain favors, so you can buy another Ovation. Oh, you're smooth, man. And just let me say in closing, congratulations to both you and your wife. A job well done and an accomplishment to be proud of. Now, go and show off your post so you can run out and get that new guitar. |

Oh, I don't know. I guess the title of this thread lends itself to making the comparison. First you're new, then you're used. If you can survive the used part of the relationship, you become a classic and you won't get traded in for a newer model. |

I think you may have the a starting concept for a new song there… |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I keep telling my wife that as much as she likes to change her stuff, new cars, new carpet, paint, etc., I'm waiting for her to get rid of me. I'm the only old thing she's got left. So far she seems to ignore me, but I expect she's thinking about it. |
