Man, if she only knew ... |

Sorry I haven't posted the pics. Hard to hold a camera when you are playing nonstop!

Very nice Stephen, looks like it was worth waiting for! TJ, this isn't the one I special ordered and waited a year for.....that's the OM. This one I happened to stumble upon when I dropped in on a shop that surprisingly carried Collings. They had about 6 of them there (which is a pretty large amount for most dealers) and this one just blew me away with how it played and sounded. I had planned on ordering one very similar to this one except with a "varnish" finish but decided that there was no way it could sound $2000 (the varnish upcharge) better than this one, so I gritted my teeth, thought about it for about 15 minutes (while guarding it so no one else could touch it) and then pulled the trigger.
Now I gotta figure out how to pay for it!
This one is still being broken in and has maybe 15 hours on it. The OM has about 75-80 and it plays and feels so wonderful that at this point it is my go to guitar and the one I would keep if I had to sell all the others. Hopefully in about 3-4 months the CJ will be right there with it. |

I find Dreadnoughts to be a bit big to handle. This one looks smaller, maybe i should check out a guitar this size.

If the majority of my time playing was spent standing it probably would not be nearly the issue that it is sitting. |
