Dale, how is your Sidejack DLX? If I got an Eastwood, that's probably the one I'd want. Although from what I've read, the tremelo isn't a very good one. |

I really like my Sidejack. Eastwood has "upgraded" the guitar for this year. I've got the original and love it just the way it is. |

I'd be interested to hear how it sounds. |

Odd that it is now April and no reports. |

Plays great and has very good build quality. Made in Korea....However I Just don't have a reference point to measure to the original..... can not believe Fender did not jump on this and resurrect the line |

I nearly bought one of their Ultra GP replicas a while back here in Oz
I just picked up an original white Breadwinner here.

And does it have a preamp?

Ovation Prototype Korean Breadwinner.
Apparently decided not to go ahead.
Will be interesting to see how many Eastwood sell

That might not be what the current 'production' Eastwoods look like. |

Location: Stratford, Connecticut | Well as with all the other lawsuit models that EASTWOOD has done... I have to make the safe assumption that the originals all just went up in value at least a couple hundred bucks, whattya'll think about that? heh heh! Would be great news for me if that's true! I would already sell at a profit as it is on all my Deacons and Breadwinners... but NOW... if I can get a cool couple BENJAMINS more on each one over the next couple years as I sell? Whoooo Hoooooo will that be total sweetness! Heh heh! (Pipe dreaming, again - I can't HEP' it!)
In any case I hope Mr Ovation can make some extra "dollas" on dem' NOS parts! That would be sweetness too! Good luck brother!
Interesting nonetheless! All the best my friends!

Real Deacons don't fit into normal guitar cases and it's hard to find a good piece of Mahogany that wide.
The Celebready Proto was the right shape though.

Location: Brisbane Australia | The only difference between the Eastwood measurements quoted and a real one is the overall length.
A Deacon is 40" long.
All else the same.
The "Celebready" Proto, as Woody calls it is the same as the original.
