I am after a campfire/campervan type of guitar so would it fit the bill?

If ya don't mind me asking, how much are you paying for the Celeb?
I'd spend the $$$ on an used Ovation, even one with some checking. I had one Celeb SSB and I won't have another. Very 'anemic'... |

If you can't tolerate the weather, neither will your guitar, i.e., don't leave your pooch in the car during the summer. |

In the true spirit of the cliche'... you would be an un-happy camper.
Mid-bowl at the very least.
Deep bowl is optimal. |

There is formaldehyde in plywood and other nasty stuff in the bowl. :p |

Location: North Wales, UK. | Thanks guys, £130 squids m8 which is not bad I suppose Iffy. Guy sez it was bought at Christmas and very little used so I though I would give it a whirl.
My Collectors is an SSB and it sounds OK to me much better than the Strat off electric so the Celeb acoustically wouldn't be too much of a shock.
I know where you are coming from seesquare on leaving the Celeb in the motor van but it has a
hard case so the temp changes should be lessened a bit.
I know it's not the most prolific Ovation out there but it should make enough noise to ward the wild animals away from the campsite.

I also imagine you have a limited selection in your region. So, I'd say go fer it... |

I counsel my tennis buddies that if they leave their racquet in their car, when the temp's over 80 degrees (Fahrenheit, that is), or below freezing, for even a half-hour, they can kiss their strings bye-bye. And, that's at 60# of tension. Try the extrapolation to 110# on a guitar. |

Location: North Wales, UK. | seesquare, you have taken me right back to my first band in january 1966 in Wrexham practicing behind the 'Green Dragon' pub in a large wooden shed. Couldn't feel my fingers with no heating and just one light socket with no earth for power. Every time I got too near the mike I got a healthy electric shock on my gob.
My first guitar was a Watkins Rapier if anyone can remember them. |

I have a feeling in my water that these Celebs could become a very desirable collectors item in the future
