Man, I am suffering! So I figgered that I would share the boredom/stress/longing with y'all.
I will try to wait til four-ish (PST) before I even think about cracking the case to check.
I would really suck if I damaged it just cuz I am an antsy ADHD type of person...
But this is killing me...
[Dude! It's not like you don't have fifteen other guitars to play with! ] |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Mine came just before Christmas and I decided to make it my Christmas present. After a warm up period, I even asked my daughter to inspect it for damage, so I wouldn't be bummed if I opened it Christmas morning and saw the headstock broken off. I probably would have held out, except she came back and asked if it was supposed to have that big stripe down the middle. Then I peeked. It was just the center panel on the 3 part top. |

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | I opened it at 4:00... I was still alittle cool. Then I had to tune it. Then I had to play all three Neil Young songs that I know. Then I had to side-by-side it with the 1627GC. Then I had to take pics....
Which are Here... And Here!
It has some pick-tracks cuz it was a demo before 'customlegend' got it, so I don't have to worry about scratching it. :p
(I couldn't get the images to transfer over from the Ning site... Anybody else have that problem?) |

Also, you cannot see the 'cords' in the fiberglass bowl of the 1111 like I can in my older guitars.
And the 1111 feels really Light! (weight-wise)
I sounds quite full. You can just hear that sound waves bouncing around in there.
So, Yeah! It's a pretty nice guitar. :D :p

New guitar, time to learn a new Neil Young song... ;)

like I do the top and neck.
Don't want nasty 'belly-prints' on it, y'know?
[get that image stuck in your mind! ] |

[get that image stuck in your mind! ] well Art..... a shower will take care of the "belly prints" j/k :p or at least make sure you're wearing a shirt when playing..
"wash, rinse, repeat."
Nice Git! Shiny Bowls are awesome!... looks like a very nice three-planker.. now play the heck out of it and get those boards loosened up.

Also, I don't know if they are all like this, but mine has a kinda corner/edge a the curve...
It is not really round, y'know?
(I don't know if you can see it in this pic, but it is really flat where it sits on my leg...)
It hasn't slipped yet... (maybe I just jinxed myself! )
I might add, with the strap button placement it hangs really nice. Even though I rarely stand...
But if it becomes a problem, I will remember that little trick. |

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | Okay, before this thread fades to the archives... A question or two:
What should I clean the bowl with?
Or more importantly, what SHOULDN'T I clean the bowl with?
(Normal bowls and T tops I just use any old T-shirt to knock the dust outta the crannies)
And any other answers that y'all got...
How do I fingerpick?
What's the intro to Crazy On You?
What word rhymes with 'Orange'?
Always looking for an edjukayshun! |

Intro to Crazy on you goes: Daum-da, dee-dum-da. Da-do-dee-dum, da-dum-da-da, deedly-dee-do, a-yoink a yoink etc. |

[But I also wanted to know about shining up the bowl after I sweat and drool all over it.] |

But I thought I would ask, since I don't wanna scratch it.
I got 'Fender' cloths and Microfiber cloths.
Thanx...
As to the Dreamboat Annie > Crazy On You transition,
I might wanna learn to fingerpick House of the Rising Sun first.
(Actually that IS my exercise, when I exercise... Might move-on to Dust In The Wind)
So? What rhymes with 'Orange'? |
