To each their own perceptions, but most sources conclude that she was one of the primary wedges that broke up the Beatles.

I've recently read some bio stuff on the Beatles and for the first time since it was released in theaters, I watched Let It Be.

There are only a couple people who I have an active dislike for. Yoko is one, Axel Rose is the another.

There was a something on the biograhy channel, too. Seems like there was a time when both Paul & John wanted to start writing together again. Yoko talked John out of it saying... "You don't need Paul".

Then there was that line... "About this time Yoko introduced John to heroin".

To be fair.... It doesn't seem that John was anyone I'd want to be friends with either.

She seemed to help John find peace within himself... and that would be a hard beast to tame.
We need not understand, just accept.

Breaking up the Beatles was something almost overdue at the time it happened. Not one of them would willing get back into that pressure-cooker environment.

"The 60's were supposed to be all 'Tune In, Turn On, and Drop Out?' Bullshit! We worked our F'ing asses off!"

And in case you forget her awesome singing talents, think of a cross between a cat whose tail is being crushed mixed with the sound your brakes make when the pads are gone....

Dennis Leary has this to say in "NO CURE FOR CANCER":

"We live in a country, where John Lennon takes six bullets in the chest, Yoko Ono was standing right next to him and not one f**king bullet! Explain that to me! Explain that to me, God! Explain it to me, God!.... Now we've got twenty-five more years. Yeah, I'm real f**king happy now, God. I'm wearing a huge happy hat...! I mean Stevie Ray Vaughan is dead, and we can't get Jon Bon Jovi in a helicopter...."

I'd have to agree.

(Yoko and SirPaul are Neck&Neck in the race of "artists" I couldn't care less about)

Was it Linda?
Was it Paul Klein?

Thanks for posting that Mitzdawg...it's been awhile since I laughed that hard. The violin player's expressions are classic as if to say, "Am I being punk'd?"

I recall Yoko singing 'Imagine' at a huge benefit concert years ago. Close your eyes and you could have sworn it was Elmer Fudd!
