I have been offered this guitar as a trade item for an amp I have. The amp is worth maybe $350 or so.

The problem is, every Ovation I have owned I loved the sound of, but its bowl back and my bowl belly eventually go to war with each other. So if history is to be trusted I will end up selling the guitar off, not playing it, or trading it for stuff I do need.

Is it worth the $350? It has the case, but the case is rough. Works well and latches fine, just road worn. I think the guitar is a 1974 or so? the guitar is solid all around.

I really dont need the guitar, and I do have a list of equipment I do need so I am not sure what to do with this one.

Any help from the group would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome... Photos always help.

The going rate for a Balladeer in good condition is around $300 - $350, depending on the market.
Two Nice-Looking 1111-1's just sold for around $240 on evilBay.

I have sold them for as little as $150, I have bought them for the same.
(1112's actually... More dots on the fretboard)

So to answer your question... No!

If you don't want the guitar, why would you trade for it.
You maybe could sell it for $350, but the only reason I would do the trade is if you like the trader.

Guitars are worth what they are worth to the person who is buying them.
So if you don't like Ovations, why would you want it?
