My 07C developed a buzz on only the high E string from the 8th fret on. The neck did not appear to be twisted. I did not want to raise the action on all the strings so I cut two small pieces of X-Ray film and placed them under the high E side only. A fresh set of Elixir phosphor bronze light mediums and she is singing again.(I have really gotten to like these light mediums 12-56). Has anybody else had a similar problem? Any other solutions?
God bless,
Steve

Hi Steve,

Good action is everything isn't it. When my O does that it is usually temp/humidity change so I tweak the Kaman bar a little and it's perfect again.

I noticed you have a mahogany Guild D25. My wife has one and I never liked it, too dark and high action. I finally convinced her to let me trade it, but I decided to have it professionally set up and give it one last try. Wow, it is sooo sweet now. I was surprised that it not only improved the action but also opened and brightened the sound a bit. The guitar tech says that bridge pressure is very important and so he did some tricks to keep good pressure while lowering the action. Wasn't cheap, but I got a great guitar out of it.
