Location: Indiana | I just recieved Randy's (lanaki) floating copy of the O History book... forwarded by Dave Koski (Grif).
Amazed, first of all, at the trust displayed toward this newbie... a total stranger.
Then there's the above and beyond gifts included in the package.
A beautiful Canadian callender and a maple leaf decanter of great white north maple syrup. (Which the misses has already claimed for her own...)
Very, very kind of you Dave. Thank you.
And thanks to Randy for starting this book on it's way in the first place.
I'll take good care of it and, shortly, offer it out to another OFC member.
You guys are the best. |

So you'll have to figure what special something from Nashville to send along with the book when its time for it to go. |

Location: SoCal | At the 2005 factory gathering, there was a video team there, making part of a video for Ovation's 40th anniversary. Several of us were interviewed for the video (I have no idea how to get a copy of it -- it was shown at the 2006 factory gathering), including myself, Beal, Temp, Clifford, and I don't remember who else.
We all gave the same answer (independently, by the way) of what makes the OFC special -- the people.... |

Seriously, it's the people and the love of the instruments that make this work...and a good old fasioned notion that what goes around comes around...selflessness, not selfishness...I can't say enough about the helpful spirit here...even those who may come across from time to time as gruff and hard have some of the biggest hearts of all...I'm proud of this group: I mean that from the heart! |
