Location: Michigan | Sometimes I feel like such a noob but I need some clarification. Can someone tell me the differences between the FD-14, 1614, and K1114 reissue? I am contemplating selling a nice pistol to fund something but not being able to play and see all of these it is confusing. PS anyone wants to trade for a nice Wilson Combat Custom Colt 45 acp? :) :) |

Location: SoCal | K1114 - reissue of the original Josh White signature model. Wide neck, 12 fret, X braced slothead. The original came out in 1968 (?) and was discontinued in 1969 when White died.
1614 - Acoustic electric version of the same basic guitar but renamed the Folklore after White's death. Came out in 1972 and was built until the early 80's.
FD14 - Run of 50 guitars (built in 2003, I think)in the same basic configuration as the Folklore except it has a cedar, A braced top, and different trim. |

One in good shape? The perfect guitar - you'd never want to sell it and, if you did, you'd never lose on it. |

| I've been learning about Ovations and Adamii for a while now and I am still amazed at the knowledge within this group. |

Ditto, I was thinking the same thing as I read this thread. Amazing knowledge here. |

I thought so but wasn't sure. I've had several chances to buy one of these but had to pass. :(
Since there were only 50 made does anyone know where all of them are? |

Anyone know if the nut width is the same for all three?
According to the history page the 1614 is X braced and Moody said the K1114 is also. Am I correct to assume the FD-14 uses the x bracing as well? |

I like it. |
