Location: Caribou, ME | Somewhere on the net in the past couple weeks I found a site that contained info about the Academy series and they referred to the top material as Kamonite (with the registered trademark symbol). At least that's how I recall it, maybe I misspelled it. I've tried googling to no avail... ring a bell with anyone? |

"The top of the Applause was laminated spruce. 'Maximum top vibration' was achieved, however, according to the brochure, by use of a 'premium bracing pattern' developed specifically for the Applause. The brochure called it a Kamonic top." |
