DA WINNER:
PEZ
Close Second:
Mark in Boise
Third:
MusicMishka
I will leave it to you to decide if they had the last word because they were so insightful, inspirational, or they just struck everyone speechless, or they were just trying to run up their post counts. :p |

For what it's worth, Canada: 9,093,507 SQ KM. You can travel the whole 8,456,510 SQ KM Brazil by foot if you are up to it. Travelling around Canada seems to be like walking a long way on thin ice. And these ten percent bigger than Australia are the best part of it. |

Shame on you; now I have to get a new keyboard!
If Australia, Brazil and Canada were all next to each other, would the planet become so out of balance that we'd cease to be? Or would there just be the first "tri-continental" OFC jam?

For the sake of the forum, let this be the last post the this thread! |

For what it's worth, Canada: 9,093,507 SQ KM. Ah, but you're all forgetting that Australia lays claim to most of Antarctica, 6,119,818 sq km of it. That makes:
Australia = 13,737,748 sq km.

Would be good to find the person who has the highest percentage of last posts as a proportion of their monthly number of posts.
OK, I've set up the methodology, who wants to crunch the numbers? |

If, God forbid, that time should ever come - you, too, might enjoy a harmless diversion like IPQ. |

Striking up a conversation with the pirate, the guy finally asks him, "So if you don't mind me asking, what happened to your leg?"
The pirate replies, "Aye, arrggh. We struck into a bad storm, I was washed overboard, and a shark chewed me leg off, and I got me peg leg!"
The guy is amazed. He then asks the pirate, "And if I may ask, what about your hand?"
The pirate wands his hook about and says, "Aye, arrggh, we was boarded by another band o pirates, and one of em cut me hand off with a sword, and I got me hook."
The guy says, "What an exciting life you've led! Great stories! And your eye? A native spear? A thrown dagger?"
The pirate looks at the floor and quietly says, "Arrggh... Seagull droppings."
The guy is dumbfounded. "Seagull droppings??"
"Ah, arrggh, aye. It was me first day with the hook..." |

The purpose of this thread has changed since the original post and has now become a rallying point for those that want a certain other thread to come to an end.
At least this thread has revealed some hidden talents amongst the membership - the other is just an idle, no-brainer post bumper.
Maybe the moderators can change the thread title?

Hopefully you're still 'here' because I believe that Dave would have appreciated and contributed to this thread, and possibly even have tried to grab 'bragging rights'.
If anything, since your post, maybe we (OFC family) can dedicate this post to Dave in the spirit and memory of all of our Dads that we can no longer hug.
Here's hoping that you and yours can find some comfort and peace in knowing that so many here share your loss in our own small ways... |

But it won't lie down.
It's revived
By the occasional clown.
It's a mystery why
They won't let it die,
and keep dragging the corpse
Back to town. |

"Top thread killer" sounds so lame instead
We can all do our part
To drive stakes through the heart
Of this thread of the living dead |

| Today's a Good Day
Read that a Great Day
The Hospital called to say
My Gallbladder's going away
one before the 8th day
of October not May!
was supposed to be Friday,
but will take it this way.
Looks like I'm around
for a while to stay.
Glenn

Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | I woke up this morning
My body was wracked with pain
I'd get out of bed
But my energy has been drained
Where my strength has all gone
I simply just can't explain
I looked in the mirror
My hair had turned steely grey
My eyesight is blurry
But I think that that's OK
With my vision so poor
I can't see my wrinkles today
The things I used to eat
My system just won't allow
Spicey food is a memory
I only dream about now
Bland fare with high fiber
Has become my regular chow
Yeah I woke up this morning
Old age took me by the hand
I didn't have a choice
I gave in to his demand
He said "Take a walk with me baby
Into AARP land" |

It lives because we who have nothing to do,
Will keep it alive till we're all gray. |

Back to town. Who you callin' an 'occasional clown'? From down-under he asks of the Occasional Clown
"who is it" is wondered still hanging around.
could be he, could even be me,
as our numbers here grow it could be a she.
sometimes may be a collection of we.
while painted and smiling and laughter abounds
would our group be the same were they no longer around? |

Quothe the teacher with nose off-browned
He thought the shoe might be thought his
and defensively posed a defensive quiz
But the wonder was, and the question remains
Why the continuation of these internet stains? |

You will not find them, anywhere
Around the places they all go
You'll never find them, never, no
They're never there but always see
Things as they are, or aught to be
And pass they stories, so we'll know
They see us all and judge us so |

Should be pics around soon.
There was a parade through town, most of the town was in the parade so there were few left to watch. |

Loaded with spite
It sure does make me grin

And sometimes Gibsons too I fear
There is something they lack

They're the guitars we all love to jeer
