What is the major difference between the Ovation Legend L1777 and the 1771 LX Balladeer? I used to own a 1112 Balladeer, which I owned and played from 1974 through this past year, then pasted it down to my son (who plays it better than I ever did). I loved the sound of that guitar.

Are either one of these close to the sound of that guitar, and if yes, which one would you get? The only reason that I ask, is I am looking at them online, and love the looks of both, but would like some opinions of the sound and playability of them.

This One?

I woulda thought that an "L1777" would be left handed... Apparently knot!
I think that he added the "L" for good luck.

But a 1777LX has scalloped 'X' bracing... Like everything else nowadays.
But I have had one or two 'A' Braced guitars, and they are nice.
Hey! If it stays under $500 it might be worth it.

(I don't know which 1777LX you are looking at)
They are both Mid-Depth Cutaways...
