About 2 months ago I was attending a sales meeting in New Orleans. During an afternoon break I visited International Vintage Guitars in th eFrench Quarter along with a friend visiting from Amsterdam. While there we saw a beautiful, black 1758 12 str. My friend fell in love with the guitar and he negotiated a $650.00 price with case. While paying his credit card wouldn't go through on the machine. So we sadly left without it. Last week he contacted a mutual friend who lived in New Orleans and asked him to pick it up as he had purchased it remotely from Europe. My friend called me tonight and was playing it over the phone and was just giddy. He is a big Taylor fan but said this was the best sounding 12 string guitar he had ever heard. The guitar will be leaving for The Netherlands within the month. I was wondering if anyone has any info about it I could pass along such as Mfg date, etc. The serial number is 359776.
Thanks in advance.

The serial number indicates it was manufactured in 1987. Nice guitar. I had one many years ago. Capo Guy has one, and a few others in the OFC have them.

Can't beat an O or A 12'er, they are just that good. The 1758 is one of the best O 12'ers there is.

Hope he enjoys it!

+1 on the 1758 being a great sounding 12 string.

The old Pacemakers are great too.
