But didn't I teach you anything about marketing? You NEVER admit to being number one. There's only one place to go. Let me reword your annoucement for you ...
"I just reveived word that Lost Art Vintage is one of the very top Adamas dealers. Thank you for your support. Now let's push for #1. I have the OFC II guitars arriving shortly, along with killer deals on Adamas 2080 models. Plus there are still a few textured top exports, Adamas I and Adamas II in stock. Give me a call for details. Nothing off the shelf interests you? OK, how about a custom order exactly to your specifications? We never close."
THAT'S what I'm talking about ... |

| I've bought Two Adamas 1 Customs through Al, A Custom 8 String Hamer Bass and one of his Adamas 1's from his store stock.
Al always got the answers to my questions or helped me to work out a deal and was very generous with his business rules.
When my customs order took way longer than they normally do, he personally encouraged Ovation to send along a few nice items that I use to this day to make the deal feel much better on my end.
What surprises me is why this status has taken so long. I have never heard of anyone else who has more interest and deals more with the Adamas Guitar.
Congrats Al. !
If I ever do a custom order again from Fendr or Hamer |

There are reasons Al has a lot of returning customers . . . he is competent and knowledgeable, he treats us right, he get's it done, he does it fairly, and his word is good. The world would be a better place if all merchants treated their customers as well. |

Good customer service nowadays seems to be a "lost art". From what I've read about you, good customer service is priority #1.

I dunno, maybe there's disgruntled buyers out there but stuff like this usually smacks of some one with an axe to grind. I can't speak of anyones dealings with Al other than my own, but a dozen or two guitars worth and it's been nothing other than first class.
Before any lurkers jump to the conclusion "you just say that because he's your friend". Yeah, well HOW do you think people pick their friends - honesty, integrity, and got-your-back is a good starting place.
Al, you're #1 in my book wether it's boastfull or not. Facts speak louder than fiction. Sorry if this derails the thread but damn it why does someone always have to throw a wet blanket on something positive.

| One single email claiming to speak for many? Yeah, right. As opposed to the multitude of repeat customers, countless public testimonials and acknowledgment by the manufacturer. Pphhht! Not a second thought. |

| I am sure you have a few unhappy people out of the thousands you have worked with through the years Al. That is to be expected. There are so many of us who know you take the time to see our orders are done as professionally as they can be and often your just stuck in the middle anyway and easily blamed for others mistakes. So enjoy the praise!
But you have to admit there is an awful lot of A$$ Kissing going on here...... :D |

Location: atlanta | Al, I can't say that I'm surprised that you have achieved this distinction. It reminds me of my very first post on this board in December 2002 (actually I was on the wrong board--I should've posted on the Trade/Sale board, but I didn't know any better back then). I was asking about a certain model vintage Adamas guitar. Several of the members greeted me on my first post--but you cut straight to the chase--your response was "Are you buying or selling?"
If Kaki had not become an Adamas Artist three months later, there is no doubt in my mind that I too would have become one of your satisfied customers. I know of no one more devoted, personally and professionally, to the Adamas brand then you have been since that first day when I became an OFC member.
Finest and warmest personal regards--
Dave King |

Dave Its weird but you start out dealing with Al
as I did with the purchase of a 1719 after 2007 tour. Started as a business transaaction.
3 Ovations, 1 Adamas, 1 Hamer, 1 Applause and Idea preamp later you consider him a friend.
Al is now always my first check now.
He good man.
He deserves a to take a bow and get round of appause. |
