air fare are rather reasonable these days.
You can fly direct into PHL Philly international airport. It is only about 30 minute drive to the venue and hotel.
Some of the members from europe may want to hope on a flight and join us.
If you stick around on monday you can visit the martian factory in nazareth about a 2 hr drive |

Now...the big question...which one of the herd to bring? Not so far from home, maybe everyone.
(Guitars starting to bounce up and down in cases, "Take me, Mommy, take me." "You went to North Carolina AND Connecticut." "I only got to go to Connecticut..." "We never get to go anywhere..." "It's not fair; it's just not fair." "NOW...everyone better be quiet and behave yourselves...or Mommy will take...the Guild!!") ;) :D

| I have two gig's one on that Friday Night and it is a good paying one. A party Saturday from noon till whenever.... it's for a close friend and it has been planned for more than a year or I'd skip it.
I can head down on the Sunday Morning, for the day (leaving realy early) if anyone wants to tag along let me know I will have room for a couple of people and 1 guitar each. I plan to hit the NYS Thruway at the Fonda exit #28 and on south from there. I figure 3 hours one way.
Let me know if anyone from Upstate is going and can only do the last day and I will keep a seat for you.

I still have 4 there.
3. I have 20 weeks leave due.

Have three Skyhooks records, found the first one in a used record store and was drawn in by the cover. (remember cover art? Jas?) Such songs as You Only Like Me Cos I'm Good In Bed, Ego Is Not A Dirty Word, and Why Don't You All Get ****ed!....and I was 'hooked'! |

Platform soles were handy for wading through an inch of beer on the floor. Lead singer died in a light plane crash a few years ago, so no chance of a reunion now. |

On Thursday Lia's mom got a lacerated colon during her colonoscopy. Surgery scheduled for Friday.
Then Lia found out Friday morning her younger sister's cancer has returned.
Friday afternoon they discover her mom has either ovarian or colon cancer (tests to be run on Monday).
So.....whats that all mean (besides my poor wife freakin out)? Means depending on what happens, she will probably want to go down to Texas to be with her mom. If that happens, I may try to work it so that she is down there the same weekend as the gathering and then I can probably make it. No sense in me going to her mom's cause her place is a 1 bedroom and Lia would want to stay there....hence no room for me anyway.
so yes.....you read a "maybe". |

they have no seating but make the best hoagies and steak sandwiches in the area.
the prices are rather expensive but one sandwich will easily feed 2 people unless you are moody or someone that is crazy hungry.
their hoagies are the best in the area and they have won many awards for them.
recently they started making cheesesteaks and they are awesome some of the best I have ever had. try the cheese steak hoagie.
they have a complete "cold cuts" section and all the meats are super fresh because they sell so much of them. EVERYTHING YOU GET THERE IS good.

Don't let the exterier of this place fool you. Yes it is a busy Pizza and sandwich place but if you go into the door on the right you enter the "dining room" it is here that you will find some of the best Italian American food in the area. Prices are slightly above average but you will get a filling mean with no complaints. The older Italian gentleman with the moustache and accent is Brumo. He is usually in the kitchen or talking to the customers most of which he knows on a first name basis. Warm friendly home atmosphere
my recommendation is the seafood combination. clams, mussles, scallops, shrimp and lobster over a bed of linguini. it is really good $26.99 (or 25.99 I forget) If you don't like garlic I would not go to bruno's.
His pizza is very good. the sauce (or as the locals call it gravy) has slightly too much olive oil for my tastse but overall it is very good. Sandwiches are also good. |

yes this is the same place you may have heard about in the news with the president and first lady. The chain started in washington dc and all they sell are burgers fries and hot dogs and soda (pop to our midwestern folks)
A short 3 minute drive from the auction house this place is worth it. I will no longer get burgers any place else. In fact I can eat here 3 meals a day 8 days a week. They are that good. juicey fresh ground beef with your choice of FREE toppings. |

Location: Tennessee | I've been at them in the DC area several times (they have one inside National Airport in DC too). They're good. Real good. With a veritable smorgasbord of toppings choices. But they're no In and Out Burger. Californians will know what I'm talking about.
I'm still planning to make it to the play day. But I'm going through a bit of a life change right now so things are on the dicey side just because there is so bloody much to do. At least the logistics of getting there are already in motion. |

Location: Tennessee | bobbo will not be in the house. Turns out that Father's Day is on Sunday and I've just found out there's some kids that have planned a little something ... and pops not being there would sorta wreck the whole event for them. It's a major bummer for me as I was SO looking forward to this - but when faced with the choice of flaking out on a bunch of guitar homos or the things I cherish most in my life ... well, you know ... |

I'm bringing my cousin. He has more than enough talent for both of us. |

That's what everyone says around here, then I hear them play, and they're awesome! LOL. |

I'm going to be coming down mid-to-late morning, so I'll need to know where to find you (Joisey Goil #2 has gone to Florida to see her mom, so I'll be by myself)...if someone would be willng to give me a cell phone number, just in case, that would be most helpful. I will have my cell phone, and my GPS, too, as well as the most up-to-date Mapquest stuff. (Do you get the feeling that I am several generations removed from that good ol' pioneer stock? ;) )

Location: Marlton, NJ | I'll be picking up PEZ tonight at the Mt. Laurel bus station at 5:30.
Does anybody else need a ride from anywhere?
I'm assuming that there will be enough cars at the hotel for people to get to the event tomorrow. If not, let me know and I will pick people up. I have a van and I'll have plenty of room.
For you folks staying at the Crowne Plaza - there are a TON of places to eat and shop. There's a good diner right down the street - Ponzio's Diner.
If you want to know anything about the area, please just ask. There's a Guitar Center and a Sam Ash really close, as well as a few other music stores in case anyone needs strings/picks/etc.
If it doesn't rain (yeah right!) there's parks and a river right behind the hotel for those that want to run or just commune with nature.
Lastly - one more time, if anyone would like to borrow a guitar (or just check one out), let me know and I'll bring it. If I don't hear from anyone, I'm only bringing one.
I have 47RI, Millenium, Tak 45th, GC1118, Tornado, Thunderhead, UKII, '05 Collectors (the one I'm using). Nicky is bringing his Elite T Flame.
I'll see y'all tonight! |
