Has there ever been a dedicated thread here for folks to put stolen instruments on public record for OFC members to reference?
Just wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea since so many OFCers are constantly (obsessively) prowling online auctions and classifieds.
Truly don't know how useful this may or may not be as I don't have any idea how many here have stolen guitar stories.
Personally, I am on constant lookout for an 83 collectors stolen from a fellow Keyman in South Carolina neatly 10 years ago. It was a custom order and sports his initials "JT" inlayed on the 13th fret to distinguish it from the others in circulation.
So, I guess this is two pronged.
One, if you ever see this guitar, please let me know... and two, are there enough stolen instrument seekers here to justify a sticky thread... maybe in the For Sale section? | |

| JonMark, I think that is a great idea.
On another forum I used to post on, there is a guy that is dedicated to helping people get back their instruments. I have no affiliation with this guy. I haven't checked out his website too much, but it looks like it might be a start for someone who lost an instrument.
