I thought this might be interesting, considering the move to Korea of these gems. |

| if you're interested in one of these or other of the lower end elites and balladeers etc... Call AL!
He never closes, and will get you what you want with no BS.. or fine print, and probably for less than you see listed in that auction.
I personally wouldn't buy a set of strings or pick from BBB... let alone a guitar.

Location: Location Location Location | Thanks. I didn't know anything about the reputation of the seller. I had seen this guitar for $999 other places and thought it was a very low price. Good to have the information about the seller though. |

Or Here
Alot of folks are selling new Elite 2078T, and 1778T for $599!
(Why? Cuz I just bought a used regular 1778T for more than that!)
These are Reputable Dealers with return policies.
And they don't charge you for shipping!
I don't care if it is on eBarf... Bobby B is not a Bargain.
After you add shipping, and half the time he charges you for the case...
Just go to a reputable dealer.
Like Al! |

Location: Location Location Location | By the way, OMA, why are they going for so cheap? I already own one, and also paid a little more for it, $899; I would think it would work the other way, with the price going higher, what with the line going to Korea. Goes to show what I know about marketing! |

Location: SoCal | Except for one low-ball bid with Brother Bobby that I thought would not be accepted on a 47RI, I have (and will continue) to buy from Al.
The 47RI did not come out with a 9158-0 case, nor what appears to be a new brown case.
However, let's be careful about how we address a dealer's reputation. In Brother Bobby's case, he has all O's and A's come from the factory with the 8158-0 (mid-range) case. This is his business model. He is a volume dealer but customer satisfaction is important to him. So, just make sure you ask what case comes with the guitar. My only concern is that we again see a brown case in this listing.
However, if you have a problem, he'll have it picked up the next morning.
There are several OFC'ers that have bought from him, to include Martin guitars.
Again, I recommend working with Al who has his heart in what he sells and services. Over the past five years, I have paid a couple of dollars more, also paid a couple of dollars less. A couple of times, I haven't even asked him his price...just gave him my credit card number and told him to send it. With Al, you are not just a number or past sale. Al is my friend and trusted dealer. |

Fender dropped the price to match the list of the new korean imports so that is why you see prices that are very low.
IMHO it is a mistake but what the hell do I know? i am just an idiot that sells gear for a living |

| just to be clear, I have called and spoken with the crew at BBB... have even inquired about purchase and stock available.... always got a run-around, or I knew more about the product which was scary..
Al IS an Authorized Hamer, Ovation, Takamine, and Adamas sales agent.. and he is the co-founder of this forum...
we actually had this conversation the other day on the phone while I was ordering a case from him.... if someone has a question on BBB, Guitarget, Musiciansfiend, etc...... or the guitars they offer... talk to them, call them, deal with them if you choose to...
but if you don't want his business, why ask him about other companies and how they run theirs, or what they have to offer or prices listed.
if you want a particular model or see something you like, or have an idea for a "Custom" Call Al.
as long as you don't mind the pizza boxes for extra padding, all will be well.

Location: Portland, OR | I bought my first Craftsman from Bobby ten years ago and have stayed in touch with him off and on. He was at that time a preacher in Ok. City. I don't now a whole lot about him but that he is a super-talented guitarist (I have one of his CD's) and that he seems like a very sincere person who has written a few inspirational books about family and life. I don't know if he actually had a store at the time and was a little surprised to see the apparent size of his operation now. From what I know of him I'd say he's a solid guy. John |

| I have to say if your prices are along these lines Al, you should sell a bunch. Anyone considering a newer Ovation guitar something like this as an American Made Ovation will hold this value right away, at this price, and should go up through the years. All the while you get a great sounding ovation with a contour bowl to boot.
Call Al, these are a real good deal. But be quick.
