Location: SoCal | Pretty certain it's a strip of carbon fiber. My Preacher 12 string had the same thing and it was very very obvious that it was carbon. Iffy, who has that guitar now can tell you the same thing.... |

The TR cover screw on the backside of the headstock... was the original #47 built that way?
The 47RI is such a fine piece of work but that screw head catches my eye every time... like an after thought handyman repair. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Yes, as Mr. Moody states all the original slotheads had the TRC screw on the back of the headstock. A bad of black paint on the screw head makes it far less noticable. |
