Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | I couldn't resist recording (even a quick and dirty recording) with the VXT before it goes away. I had a few minutes, so I dropped it into open-D and recorded The Water Is Wide. You can tell I'm a little stuffy today, but I still like the arrangement. This piece sounds nice on any guitar, 6-string, 12-er, nylon, you name it.

Location: Chicago | Nice work, Patch. I sing my little one to sleep with this tune most every night. I never imagined a guitar part with this particular "clave" or pattern: I think it works quite well. Bravo! I also picked up some new chords for the tune, should I break out the O for accompaniment. |

Location: Flahdaw | I've played this open-d version for awhile, but also like the Karla Bonoff version, which features James Taylor and J.D. Souther singing background vocals....very nice. |

Location: Flahdaw | I learned it off an alternative tunings instruction video by Mark Hanson. I think I actually improved upon his version with a bit more picking, a few added chords, and a little instrumental verse in the middle. |
