Here's the deal. I have an Ovation 1613 Classic that I don't need. It was saved, and I re-topped it and I think it sounds pretty nice. (I'm biased because I have SO much work into it, but what the heck.) Acoustic only, and I don't have a case for it. I can't sell it; modesty prevents that. My wife suggested I give it to a worthy person. Great suggestion to thin the herd!
Here's a pic:
FREE!!!
Positively guaranteed to be the only Ziricote-topped Ovation Classic in the world!!!
And I'm giving it away, but not to just anyone. Here's the deal:
I'd like to give this to someone who really needs/wants it, preferably a kid, and hopefully get them hooked on Ovations.
Anyone under 16 who wants it, please join the OFC and write a short message here why you should be the one who gets this guitar. After a time period (2 weeks/month? depends on response) I will then put it to a vote by the members and I will ship this to the winner. I'm not rich monetarily, so I have to limit it to the lower 48, please.
All OFC'ers are requested to beat the bushes and encourage worthy kids to enter.
And pay it forward yourselves. :) |

Then she fell in love with a Celebrity I had on the rack, and reluctantly traded it in. She misses her classical so much though. I will tell her about this. |

"Anyone under 16 who wants it" …are you referring to their age or the number of guitars they already own? ;)
…either way, it eliminates a lot of current OFC members. ;) |

Iffy has generously donated a gig bag, so the free offer now includes the guitar, a new string set, and a gig bag.
All we need is someone who wants it. |

In the mean time you wanna trade for a Pacemaker with an OP30 or a SSB Legend 12 while I find someone starting out that needs this? |

| My God a free guitar and no takers (young folks) that would like to learn to play or get a much needed guitar! What is the deal with young folks now days??? I just don't get it! You write a short piece on your situation and send to the gracious giver and he decides who is most needy. How easy does it get!!!!???? Mitz, I hope a genuine person in need comes along. |

Location: Portland, OR | [This post is from my son Walker who would really love to have this guitar. He has a guitar that is not a toy but not really an "instrument" either. He wears it around the house like guitar man. Anyway, he's pretty excited. Thank you for this generous offer, and wish him luck!]
Hi,
My name is Walker and I'm going to be 7 on my birthday in 6 more days! My uncle Mark told us about this guy who is either crazy or just really nice. He is giving away a guitar and I saw the picture and it is AWESOME!
I don't know if I deserve it but I sure would love to get it. Please, please, please!!!
Thank you,
Walker
PS My dad helped me write this. He's a better speller and typer. |

Hi. My name is Annie. I am 13 years old. I am homeschooled and I love to play the guitar - it is my dream and I believe in following my dreams. I have always loved Ovation guitars. When I saw the picture of your guitar - I fell in love with it. I have been playing the guitar ever since my parents got me a small guitar from a pawn shop about 5 years ago. I've been saving my babysitting money so I can buy myself a better guitar. I love to play worship songs. I know that God will bless me with an opportunity to get a new guitar someday so I can continue to praise Him.
Thank you for offering this opportunity,
Annabeth |
