| The Optima. Have the Pro Studio on another guitar and it's no contest. |

That is cuz you didn't offer the OP-24+, which was my original Favorite...
Nor did you offer the Optima, which is my New Favorite. :D |

Location: Chicago | Actually, I must tell the truth: I've fitted my main axes (1117 and 1581) with the newer Fishman systems (5-band EQ, tuner etc): It's probably a personal quirk, but I'm quite happy.
I think the Adams 1581 with Fihsman PreFix PRO sounds especially good (needed that EQ on that feedback monster). Check out the "band" link below to hear a live demo of the 1581. |

I knew I'd leave out some options, hence the 'comments encouraged'. I'm considering a 'kidney bean' pre-amp replacement project, therefore no 'rectangles'.
BTW, no poll editing option after posting... :( |

Location: Chicago | The 1117 is holding up well: I discovered that the newer cracks (from increased gigging no doubt) were exactly on top of the braces. I'm less worried, but still gig with the Adamas now more often.
The FISHMAN ONBOARD SYSTEM fits nicely with the 1117 and Adamas. The tuner is reliable and the EQ/notch filter is all at your fingertips. Loud as hell! |

Did you install Fishmans (Fishmen? ;) ) in both guitars? Wouldn't that require cutting a hole in the 1117? (something that I thought would make you cringe…) and cutting/patching the Adamas too?
…or did I misunderstand your comment? |

Location: Chicago | Yes, a hole was cut! Fortunately for the Adamas, the hole "encompassed" the two smaller holes left by the extracted knobs. I don't regret it, Mike: best mod I ever did, since it has facilitated playing out.
BTW I really like your new recording: like my kid says "bangin'!" |
