Well done and a nice looking burst to boot! |

Location: South of most, North of few | With its player-driven design that has 13 frets clear of the body, plus special soundhole and bridge locations, Santa Cruz Guitar Company's H 13 Fret joins the SCGC H lineup with a sweet tone that capitalizes upon the best attributes of a 12-fret's resonance and a 14-fret's access. As a result, it's ideally suited to fingerpicking, coaxing the sonic character of each note while projecting an overall tonal depth.
Despite its small appearance, the H 13 Fret employs a body depth approaching that of a much larger dreadnought-sized guitar, producing extra volume and bass support to bolster its rich tone. Its comfortable size and complex tonal characteristics make it especially appealing to traditional players, soloists, and recording artists who demand maximum warmth and tonal versatility.
Features of the handcrafted H 13 Fret include a specially hand-tuned bracing system beneath its top-grade Sitka spruce top, a slotted headstock for classic style and enhanced string angle and sustain, and an ebony 1" x 6" pyramid rectangular bridge. The sides and back are select mahogany, and the mahogany neck features an ebony fingerboard with a total of 19 frets. An ebony headstock overlay and the wide ebony bridge with pyramid-style detailing add to the classic appearance.

Ronnie, I keep you posted every day, start writing stuff down. ;) You should start your own website listing the guitars you have, have had, are considering buying, and have for sale. With all of the hits it would get, you could probably make some money on advertising. |

Beal I got a real nice sunburst C-10 deep body that might be whispering your name. |

Location: Latitude 39.56819, Longitude -105.080066 | I think the Borges is my reality check. I am truly done.
With the 1687 I picked up from Al and another little beauty I had custom made (delivery possible for next week with pics and maybe sound clips to follow) I have truly exceed my SWMBO level of tolerance.
She is asking to re-landscape and I have said we don't have the money for it. Yesterday when I got home she was in the studio staring at all the guitars hanging on the wall.
I could be in trouble.....hence the Borges is my last foray into the wilderness! |

I guess my crude and hasty attempt at internet levity didn't read right. No sour grapes on my end at all, believe me. It's the risks of the hobby and not worth losing sleep over. Besides, once Iffy starts praying about guitars, he usually gets what he wants. ;)
Just babysit that beater a little longer for me while I keep at the USPS. A rep I talked to today seemed hopeful because they had not sent out a request for more information. So....
Cross them fingers,
Cross them toes.
Will they cough up?
No one knows!
Hoo boy...I must be drinkin' the special Bushmill's tonight. |
