Plastic Finger Picks

Subject: Plastic Finger Picks

Can anyone tell me if there is a plastic fingerpick with a full body, similar to a thimble, for the finger? I've only seen some made of steel in that style. Thanks.

When I fingerpick, I use these: Alaska Pik

and find them quite nice.

Everyone I know uses metal fingerpicks and a plastic thumb pick.

Another vote for Alaska Piks. I tried them under the tip of my fingernails as recommended but found it preferable to just place them on top (over the nail). I have no problem with them shifting and they work great for me.

My friend said he wanted a plastic one built like a steel pick. Apparently he picks the string in both directions.

...over on a banjo site, I actually saw some picks that one player created: He took stainless steel banjo fingerpicks and soldered them together back-to-back so that the two curved portions went on each side of the finger. I think he used silver solder. Sort of like this:
