Location: st augustine fl | Holy crap...I've been playing out regularly for the past ten years with my elite standard that I bought brand new. I've plugged it into all kinds of PA's but last night I plugged into the new bose system with the sub woofer and tall skinny speaker column and I was blown away. It was like my guitar was on steroids...I've never heard it sound so good...my buddy uses a new Guild with the D-Tar system and it sounded like mud compared to my O...I may eventually buy an all solid wood guitar someday but I'll never be without my O... |

| Welcome from another Fl-O-rida boy! Now you got me wanting to check out a Bose. You're pretty close by - hang around, most of us Wild-Eyed Southern Boys (with the exception of darkbar) are a fun group, and we get together for jams often. As you can see, we like Ovations, Adamas, and even wood boxes:
G8rBowl II:
G8rBowl I:
Where in St. Aug do you play? I'll have to check out your show next time I hit the beach. |

Location: st augustine fl | Hi...I play in a couple bands ... a blues band called Stormy Weather....we play regularly at Hurricane Patties in St. Augustine...check out www.myspace.com/stormyweatherbluez I also play with my buddy Tommy ..we call ourselves Tom and Jerry....I helped a buddy , Russ ,out the other night and he had the bose system...not sure of the model but it had a seperate sub woofer , a tall skinny two piece speaker column with a bunch of small drivers and the bose mixer...I plugged in my Elite standard model 6868 and I could not believe my ears....I never heard that guitar sound so full and alive...apparently the bose has built in EQ parameters and he set it on an Ovation setting....wow....we play at Shellfish Grill at the World Golf Village...anyway that's all I do..I'm retired from the USAF , did my 20 , been playing guitar for 40 some odd years....I've owned all kinds of Ovations thru the years including one with an aluminum fingerboard and frets as I recall...may have been a Matrix??...anyway..love my Elite..and I'm looking to find a nice Custom Legend....I've been trying to play Al Dimeola's Mediterranian Sundance for 30 years...maybe I'll get close on a custom legend....yeah right...rick |
