I thought some of you might enjoy this...

Click on the link below to one of the best pieces of sound engineering work I think you will ever hear.
It is a composite audio/video of "Stand By Me" where additional tracks were laid down by different singers and musicians from different places around the world. The finished product is excellent!

The song itself, "Stand By Me" is a classic standard originally released in 1955 by The Staple Singers and released again in 1961 by the Drifters. This composite version is a real toe taper, so turn up the speaker volume and click here:

If the link doesn't work in your email, copy and paste it to your browser.

Enjoy

To each his own, but all the guy goes is go around and puts headphones on people and says "here, sing along with this". I guess it's a novel idea. Or maybe I just don't get it.

I saw this wonderful version on Facebook. Brought tears in my eyes because of all this wonderful people from all over the world united in music. Wish I could play a slide/resonator as good as that and as well a sax... :)

"Playing For Change"....

I wonder if he PAID any of these people who are busking for doing their piece?

Also, You didn't get that Shredder-Dude who plays that Warlock down by the Subway?

I'm sure he has his version...

What about his contribution?
