However, in the interest of sending positive energy out into the void, I am willing to start my copy on an adventure, also.
Here's the deal: You get it for 30 days. Period. Post a picture on the "ning" site, with the book in your clutches. Then let us know who it went to. They post the arrival, & post a picture. Try to get some distinctive background into the shot, OK?! Put a copy of the picture in the book, too!
We have members world-wide, so mailing time will vary.
Has a copy been to Oz, yet? Might be a good place to start. |

How 'bout starting a 'Continental European Tour'. We have members in Italy, France, Germany, Denmark, Spain, etc.? |

I've got a good backdrop for my location, to start the journey. |

We all have (I think) our own copies now, so it wouldn't be difficult to 'fudge' a photo. |

So, to our European colleagues- start getting organized! It would be fun to get about a dozen "stops" in the next year, before returning to The States.
Heck, if its real successful, how 'bout a junket to South America? I believe we have a couple of members down there. A picture from the top of Sugarloaf in Rio? Machu Pichu? |

Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | It's coming. The 1st stop is scheduled in Canada. After that, probably, Tuscany, based on the order in which our members have been responding. That's why have a centralized place for tracking The Book's movements will be essential. With the demonstrated demand evidencing itself, perhaps the "30-day stay" may need to be renegotiated!
Shoot, I may not see this tome's return for a couple of years!! |

USPS is now in charge of transport, with projected border crossing into Canada, about 1 week hence.
I have established a group on the "ning" site, TBET 2009 & Beyond, for tracking & reporting of The Book's travels & stops.
Should be entertaining to watch over, probably, the next year, or so. |

Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | Greetings, Esteemed Colleagues!
An update on the The Book- European Tour:
Daniel got the tome in Quebec, took pictures by his Lake Champlain, added in some picks, reduced the shipping conveyance to contain the postage expenditure, sent the package to Riccardo in Tuscany, who has posed in front of The Leaning Tower of Pisa & the Tuscany countryside.
Pardon the "Reader's Digest" narrative. Pursue the full content on the "social network" site, under the "TBET- 2009 & Beyond" group.
So, at this point, we need another stop on the travel itinerary. Who is interested in perusing The Book, getting some photos, and adding to the adventure?
Probably best to contact Riccardo AKA marenostrum, directly, to arrange transmittal.
Let's keep this thing in motion!
Cheers to all,
Chris |

Besides, if I don't get it by December, I'll be back from class and can get it flown on an Aircraft and it'll have it's own little certificate.
Not as cool as a certificate saying it was flown on a Combat Mission as I'd intended initialy, but still cool.
As an aside, we MIGHT be going to Afganistan in late 2011 or early 2012, it might get a shot at a Combat Mission flight anyway :) |

I just sent some of the photos I took to a developer. They should be here before the weekend. As soon as I got them the book will continue it's tour to you in Ireland. I'll send you a message when it's on it's way. |

OK, it's been 2 weeks. Anybody in Europe interested in TBET 2009? Riccardo has it, and Miguel wants it, but he's in Brazil. We can send to South America, no problem. Just thought there might be somebody in The Old World wishing to see The Book, and take some photos.
Sing out.......soon! I'm still waiting... |

Michael, what's the plan for The Book when you receive it. Can we get it to the Southern Hemisphere? How 'bout the other copy floating around?
Somewhere there is a "loose" copy, I'm sure.
Help a Brother out, eh?! |

My understanding is it's going to be in Ireland with sycamore for a bit, maybe he could just send it to Miguel & he could send it to me afterwards.
That would actually work better for me so it'll be sure to come to me when I'm back in Tennessee after the second week in November so I can get it flown.
Whomever wants it after me, I can have it turned around within a week of me getting it at home.
As far as I'm concerned, I'm in absolutely no hurry except to get home in November, it would be fine with me for it to go to Miguel first he's probably been waiting on a chance at it since before I asked for it in Iraq.
Ya'll just lemmee know what works best for you guys, no sweat.
As it stands, the paperback copy I have is going to these folks in the folowing order:
james37214, standing, ksdaddy, & Carol. |

I think sending this copy to Miguel will work out better in the end as opposed to the "THIS THREAD" book.
That way he could be next to get it after sycamore and he could send it to me, it gives me time to get it flown. |

…but you hit send quicker… ;)
IF it's confirmed that Book "A" (hardcover?) is headed to Brazil soon, we will remove Miguel from the list for Book "B" (paperback?)
Hope that's ok with everyone… |

Miguel gets taken off of the hereafter to be referred to as "Book B" list and it continues on it's trek in America to wherever it goes after Carol. |

Anyway, reading the book reminded me that I've never played an Adamas or an Elite.
Would someone consider sending one of the above on a European tour? And could I keep it for more than 30 days? |

I know its not the same as a ride in a Military Aircraft, but it was the best I could organize here.
The book is now in its way to Michael.

You're talking about the other copy right?
I'm at the facility for a weekend drill right now but I have a list saved on my computer at home so I'll check and see who is supposed to get that one next.
It was still in Nashville with James as of the 18th.
Seesquare:
I was going to print it out last night and have the Pilots sign it but my printer ink was bad.
So, there will be a little more delay.
I'll have to catch up with them in the next week or so.
Now I have to look at the list and see who has dibs on THIS one.
It'll be on it's way soon. |

It was flown a while back, I had to make up the certificate, and hunt down the pilots on the next drill, one was there.
Our pilots flop around drill dates so I had a time catching the co-pilot to sign the cert.
I appologize to everybody for holding onto this for so long but it is ready to go to the next recipient.
I know where the other book went and who was scheduled to get it next, then next, etc.
This one I THINK is supposed to go to nikon4004 next right?
