This is the label of a 1614 Folklore dated back to 1973. It appeared on ebay (IT) and unfortunately I had not the chance to grab it :( . It flew to France. Don't know to whom. You know, the reason is that I recently got that woodbox from my friend (the local luthier), with no regret at all :) .... and I don't want to divorce  . It seems I have to wait bit more to add a Folklore to the family.
However the guitar show an unsual label for the period. Am I right?. It looks to me more a label one should find in a Collectors. Any though ?

This kind of label first appeared on the Collector's 1982. Looks like self-made.

I agree. And that "4" is definitely a european 4. Seriously. No one in New Hartford, unless they were a cross-Atlantic transplant, would write a 4 like that.

That's not a European way of writing a '1' though...

Dunno, I always find the little (R) sign on the genuine Ovation label reassuring...
