| It looks like a pretty good deal for a special order/limited run Custom Legend ser# makes it a 97
Mystery -5 Custom Legend
abalone purfling/binding on fretboard, no fret markers, HexFX preamp, but has plain bridge instead of carved... and ebony buttons instead of pearloids, so I'm thinking was made for GC, Sam Ash, etc... or was a custom order... somebody pulled the label out... so it's a mystery. and not sure if it's a deep or mid bowl...
I've spoken to the shop, and the owner Dave and have an offer/layaway deal in with them, he had it marked as an LX model originally, but definitely a K-bar and definitely a good price if everything is straight and the electronics are in good shape... no dings or cracks/scratches, (just a little rash on the duckbill) and probably a AAA top.
if all's good with this one, I'll grab it and send iffy back his 1763 and Slydog back his m862 midi balladeer..... and then I'll actually have an O to call my own again... and a pretty nice one at that.. BTW... Thanks again to Al and Johnny for the loaners!!
Thanks in advance for anyone in the vicinity that can test drive and inspect it for me.
I know it's a buyers market, and money talks, but I'm really interested in this one, and would appreciate the chance at it. almost thought it was a Nakao, but not with the HexFX and no Carved bridge..
Thanks again,

Location: Michigan | That looks great Glenn. I had that one bookmarked also. It would be really nice if someone could look at the neck for you. There was a perfect CL on my local Craigs List. The body was near mint but the neck had one terrible sunken bow where it meet the body. Looks can be deceiving. Let us know how it comes out. |

| The owner's supposed to give me a call back to discuss the deal... I would appreciate it if someone could give it a good once over, put it through its paces, general inspection, and check the action and verify the stereo functions and preamp/pickup being in good operation. The price is definitely right as long as all is good.... at least IMO... I've never had one with the HexFx but I do have a nice stereo amp with extension speakers to do it justice.
I've had a couple of the Stereo models that have had bad piezo's and low, intermittent or no signal on some strings.
Thanks for the help.

| Thanks for your help on this one Fred! Dave's expecting you and I sent you a pm with the details.
hope it's as nice as it looks. it's definitely a different one than other CL's I've seen.
Thanks again! and looking forward to a favorable report(hopefully).
