I'm sure your new baby will sound sweet through your amp. Did you order natural or black or red?
Beware - these guys will be very willing to help spend your money and create a large guitar collection at your place... :-) |

Be sure to 'search' here for set-up instructions. Most Celebs I've tried could of used a proper set-up. Make playing that puppy as comfortable as possible! |

That said; one of the coolest guitars Ovation made was the Medalion and it's pure plastic & aluminum kitsh! |

Location: United States | thank's folks, and mitzdawg i ordered it in natural. i wish they had the cc24s in red but it's not available in red. i was going to get the cc24 which is available in red however the cc24s has a solid spruce top instead of a laminated spruce top which the cc24 has. i don't know if the sound is any different with a solid top vs a laminate top. both the cc24 and the cc24s are the same price ($350) so i figured i would go with the solid top instead of the laminate top. |

Popular opinion suggests that, generally speaking, the solid toppers are more likely to produce a consistently better acoustic tone that the laminated tops. However, some members like exotic wood finishes on their guitar tops which most often means not only a higher price tag, but also laminated construction. As others have said, what matters most is how it sounds to you personally. |

| Welcome to the OFC, Grecon! Congratulations on your new git! Myself, I am still searching for my next guitar.
I have a laminate guitar. One thing about a laminate is that the sound you have now is the sound that you are most likely to have for the lift of the guitar.
As much as I like the sound of my laminate, I still would go with a solid top. Depending on the tone wood, they can have a warmer tone than some laminates.
One thing I like about Ovations is that they have some of the most comfortable necks around.
