Location: Alagoas, Brazil | Ok. I got an air ticket to Miami and an American Visa. I will attend a wedding in Ohio on July, 11th, and I intend to rent a car to travel there and back following this route:
Miguel´s Route in America
I really would appreciate some coments and suggestions. I have two weeks on the United States, and intend to see a bit more than Disneyworld.
thanks,

You really should spend a day there.
Cleveland has the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. |

That's fantastic news!
On your return from Ohio, if you take I75 down Florida's west side, be sure to let me know. I know of four OFC members on that path. It would be great to have a quick 'gathering' in your honor!
I'm sure you'll get other 'invites' in that your northward leg takes you through some serious 'Ovation' country.
Keep us posted! |

Location: Alagoas, Brazil | The way back will be through New York, Washington and then down the East Coast. If we are going to have a gathering, be ready. As we say here: "A sparrow that tries to follow a bat ends his day upside down".
Let´s party!

Location: south east Michigan | The Chevy Corvette plant is right off the freeway in Bowling Green. They offer an interesting factory tour.
Here is a link to the Mammoth Cave National Park website.... web page
For me, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame was a bit of a dissapointment.
Definatly drive back by a different route.
I don't think the Martin factory is out of the way on the way back. They have a great tour also.
Cedar Point Amusement Park, maybe an hour east of Cleveland, is one of the best, if not THE best place in the world for roller coasters.
The surrounding area is a world class tourist trap but Smokey Mountain National Park is also worth looking into. |

Location: Wichita, KS | Slipkid already mentioned Cedar Point . I've never been there myself, but always wanted to go. It is actually an hour WEST of Cleveland, in Sandusky, Ohio.
My youngest and I spent a couple hours in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum last summer. Recommended if you like that kind of racing.
There's the Kennedy Space Center as you travel down the Florida coast.
Since your revised route takes you through Washington, DC there are some incredible things to see there. Besides the monuments & memorials on the mall, there are some exceptional museums. My favorites are the National Air and Space Museums on the mall and at the Udvar-Hazy Center. The National Museum of Natural History should be great. I think that admission to all of the National museums is free. |

"You were wrong. I´m a cop, and you are busted".
But, I´ll be on vacations, so I feel the need to elaborate. I took off Nashville in order to get some time in Gainesville, Fl. I also intend to stay in NY a couple of days and see some show on Broadway and some jazz elsewhere.
Bob:
I can change the route again to get to the Mothership, but are they going to have a factory thing-that-must-not-be-named? If not, what else there is there to see besides the outer walls? |

Ask g8r to take you to Denny's at 3 a.m. Really ought to be good in Gainesville. |

| Denny's won't be as fun in the summer when nearly all the students are gone.
Miguel, as I already said, mi cas es su casa. If you want to spend a day or more here let us know, and maybe some of the other Florida OFCers might make it up. |

| @Miguel - Mail replied.
Johnny - he'll be here Tues the 7th, but it might work out better for a get-together on his return. He'll be coming back down the East Coast to be in FL on the weekend of the 18th, so if folks wanted to come here for a gathering that would be great. |

The 18th might be doable! The 6th we'll be arriving in Capo Mike's 'back yard' for a few days.
Any Florida Gulf Coasters interested?
Miguel (or any one),
A side trip to the Kennedy Space Center is a real treat! |

Nothing I'm aware of. I would think because of where you are comming from (Brazil) that John or Kim would accommodate you with an "Unoficial tour", BUT, I can't obviously speak for them.
Whatever you decide to do, I am positive you will enjoy your trip. Just meeting some of them "Southerboys" (to me) will be an experience in it's self!! |

I wish I could hook up with you guys in Florida.
*sigh* With the factory out of the picture it seems like all the good stuff happens in Florida.
Maybe that has something to do with the average age of the members here. |

What day are you driving through Atlanta? Probably on the 8th, but it can be the 7th or 9th, depending on g8r. If he´s too busy on the 7th we may just hit the road to atlanta asap. If he´s not busy at all, we´ll see. |

Location: Alagoas, Brazil | Hey! Lambada isn´t a Brazilian rythm, despite that LOUSY movie stating otherwise.
Lambada came from somewhere in the French Caribbean, and lasted for a summer here. It´s long past now, and nobody misses it.
If somebody wants to learn more, just ask. |
