When the S771 was Ovation's top selling guitar, you could have gotten a new one for just under $600 with a case. I sold mine 3 months ago for $400. Edit: Looks like one in your condition went recently on ebay for $430. They are good guitars, and $200 is a great price. They don't attract collectors, though.
