Location: Yalova/Turkey | Does anyone have any information on the Matrix 1632? Is it just accoustic or does it feature a pre-amp? It would seem it doesn´t... What do you think about its aluminium fretboard? |

Location: Scotland | The 1632 had a passive pickup, no onboard preamp. Fingerboard would most likely be aluminum. Very late production Matrix madels went to a re-frettable rosewood 'board but they are pretty uncommon compard to the ali version. |

| I had a 1637 (passive pickup, no pre-amp, rosewood fretboard) as my first and only Ovation for many years:
Mark in Boise has a 1632, I think. Not a bad guitar, but I'm with Temp - unless you want a slide-only guitar avoid the aluminum fretboard ones. |
