Well after about 6 months of start and stop she's pretty much done. I'm bulding a Case rack for the opposite wall today.Sorry the pics are so large, I can't figure out how to shrink them down through here.

Cool. Love the murals. Not sure I'm ever going to finish mine. I think of it more as a work-in-progress, living art kind of thing.

I've stopped work on mine. I built one of those huge weight benches in the corner of the same room in the basement before I went crazy with guitars. The combined exercise/music room isn't working out, so we're talking about moving the music room upstairs. The weight bench is staying with the house when we sell it. The new room is larger, but seems smaller because part of the ceiling is slanted.
Keep posting pictures and ideas to this thread and I'll steal them. I kind of like the mural. I need to replace some outdated wallpaper, but I'm looking for something with a music theme.

Congratulations! It looks great! Where is a good place to buy the guitar hangers like you have? Do they cost much? I want to hang mine as I am running out of floor space! ;)

I got mine off Ebay. Some music store. They cost about $10 each and I bought what they had left. I have one more going up on the log wall for my new uke.

It was kinda' funny to see the strange look on my wife's face when she came down to see the completed project. She kept insinuating that SOME of these MUST be new purchases. I guess seeing them all out there together on display opened her eyes as to JUST how much I had accumulated. I think she cooled down a bit after realizing there were no more cases and other musical instruments laying around all over the house.

Nice, Vince!
But you should've put the hangers closer together or left more space between them for the next 4 or 5.

Do you have a Mac?

... 'you mean Mac as in Macintosh? Nope.

I do have a PC laptop with some recording software on it. Nothing elaborate (yet)

As far as the spacing goes, I've run out of justification (and wall space) for now.

I'm quite sure the Lemming Formerly Known As Waskel was making a snide remark about the overbloated picture size in your post and trying to infer that it must be a "Mac" thing. You can spot the SPS (small penis syndrome) a mile away.

Q: Why does a mac mouse have only 1 button?

A: So you can use the other finger to communicate to PC users.

CLICK (of the one button mouse)

Ouch.

All in fun, Toby. I happen to think Macs are pretty cool, I really have nothing against them (at least with the new procs and OS).
Ok, well, maybe the price.

I just bought my wife a new computer. A PC. 3Ghz dual-core Wolfdale processor, 3Gb memory, 650Gb hd, 22x dvd burner, 19" widescreen flat panel monitor.
$400 shipped. 1/3 the price of the cheapest iMac, and tons of free or very cheap software available.
I like Macs, but I know I wouldn't be happy with anything less than a Mac Pro, and I can't make myself spend $2k on a computer...

...of course, there's another alternative...

I GIVE UP! I photoshop'd them down to 6x8 and reduced the resolution and file size, and they're STILL huge.

Better. Try loading them into Paint and use Image~Stretch/Skew. Set both horizontal and vertical to 60%. Save (with a new name!) and upload to the ning site.

I like your wallpapers.

There's one of the views on the ning site that gives you about a 4x6, but I have to try several of the views and check the properties to find the right one, then do the preview post until I get it.

As to photo size, go to photobucket...

I actually have photoshop, but I was probably too excited about posting the pics that I wsan't paying attention to what I was doing.

If I plug into that Warp 7 amp you probably WILL hear me.
