When I bought my Fender Acoustasonic I also played through a Peavey. The Fender had no effects, I am not a big fan of the onboard effects so the Fender came home with me. But it was a very tough choice.

I have a Peavey Ecoustic 212. It doesn't have built in effects except for a dual channel setup with 2 EQs, reverb, and feedback controls. I use a Zoom A2.1u Acoustic Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal, which has just about everything I could need in effects and I can change and store my own custom settings. The Amp works out fine for me. It is extremely durable (standard for Peavey), plenty of volume, and it looks nice. Aside from that, I'd rate it at 7.5 on the 1-10 scale of acoustic amps. Their latest upgrade is the Peavey Ecoustic EFX 112. That would probably be right up your alley, as it has all kinds of effects bells and whistles and an upgraded Blue Max coaxal speaker. You can Google it. It's gonna' run you about 5 Bills, unless you can get a used one.
