The ol' harmonica sure stirs different memories...howling coyotes, lonesome trains and good ol' country livin'! |

| Nice and slick but very similar to Cocaine Blues which is an old song about cocaine
being used for pain management in military hospitals after the first war - I only mentioned the last part so that people don't get all angry and think that I have any tolerance for recreational drug use and destroying one's health etc. |

Location: big island | thanks y'all! i can't find a version of cocaine blues that sounds much similar, however i am certain there are many songs that my simple melody might remind one of. there's lotsa stuff written in the I-IV(7th)-VIm-IV-I-VIm-II(7th)-V(7th)-I progression. |

| Yeah, it's a progression that falls together naturally so it's always waiting to be rediscovered.
Version of Cocaine Blues that I was taught many years ago fits pretty close - I was singing along with your clip..lol |

Location: big island | thank you, mike. "stanford" guitars are designed by furch in the czech republic but built in china. furch makes high-end "stonebridge" guitars for the US and employs some fine craftsmen in asia to make the "stanford" label to his specs. all solid premium woods and 1 3/4" nut width. currently there's only one distributor for them in the states, located in friendsville, tennessee, just south of knoxville. you should hear these guitars in person. astounding! the camera mic just cannot capture it. i got this one used but they sell for under a grand new.
here\'s michael wong playing a stanford dread. |

Location: big island | thanks. it's a "blues tools" brand. i'm not sure they are still in business though as i can't seem to find info on the web. they had a catalog back in '97 when i bought this. best rack i've seen. |

Location: big island | so i googled "blues tools harmonica holder" again and came upon a couple harmonica websites where this rack is mentioned, "the company is out of business", "the design needs to be revived", "looking for a blues tools holder: will consider paying an outrageous amount for one, name your price!"
that last comment was from 2002. i need to track that guy down and see if he's still lookin'! |

Great use of the racked harmonica in your clip. Very useful in the right hands (maybe not in mine, but I try...) |
