Played with my new TomTom GPS while watching the Rays lose and comforted the cat during the local fireworks.
Got a bit of time with the '06C-Koa also.
A low keyed but rewarding 'birthday'. Actually, it was a grand day in that I got to share it with my bride! |

Violetta was put on call at the hospital late this afternoon so we grilled outside; played the Patriot for the kids; watched the Golf tourney; had fireworks for the family in our own backyard (No Crowd...yea!);...
BUT the BEST was watching the end of the NASCAR race and seeing K "guitarman" B getting his just rewards and meeting the wall he so richly deserved! Absolutely Fantastic! His car is now a match for the Les Paul from a few weeks ago!
THAT was a great ending and topped this 4th just right! |

It was dead dead dead
Normally free food brings them out in droves
Maybe it was the nice weather for a change.
Then again it might be the July 4th River Fest
is on July 11th???
Had some Bluemoon
I played with the 1681 and 1719
I discovered my Lovebirds LOVE
peas in the pod.. |

Location: Budd Lake, NJ | My sister came in from Ohio Friday afternoon; we left at 8:30 yesterday morning to get her three grandkids from the Bronx; back here, early lunch, Ellyn and kids on their way back to Ohio at 12.
Left for my son-in-law's folks place at 3; "Grandma Pat" and "Grandma Karen" had tea and then all her family came for supper.
The grandmas took our granddaughters to the local fireworks, hoping that our 3-year-old Laney would be o.k. (Last year she was terrified--they were much closer to where they were going off.) This year, we sat in Pat's SUV and watched safely from an adjoining hill, two little girls cheering and shrieking (loudly!) each time one went up. We brought headphones to deaden the noise in case the girls were afraid, but I needed them because they were so loud.
Home about 10:30; today, church, playing for the rest home we visit, and then mow more grass.

Location: Wichita, KS | Did some much-needed yard work early on. Later, Debbie & I went to my ex's brother's for a cook-out. After dinner we walked to a nearby lake to watch the amateur fireworks displays that went on and on and on.
Everything was great until we got back to my place. My poor Corgi was so upset by the fireworks that she'd crapped and puked all over the house. Cleaning that up was not the way I wanted to end my day. |

| Yard work in the AM, then playing guitar and figuring out my new Boss compressor pedal while I slow cooked 3 racks of pork ribs (my own dry rub recipe) on the grill, then friends over for food - the ribs, potato salad, grilled corn on the cob, homemade garlic bread toasted on the grill - followed by a booze-fueled neighborhood fireworks display featuring plenty of mortars, then more booze and guitar until the wee hours. This is a great country! |

The Vocalist Live 4 has built-in compression that I use for voice, but I wasn't impressed with it for guitar.
My next project is either finding or building a pedal board, now that I'm accumulating stomp boxes. A whole 'nother class of GAS! |

A great 4th was had here in bobboland. Had to do some work on computer infrastructure and website for the new business. Then some pool time, followed by a high speed run in the silver bullet ... picked up some ribs from our fav'rite bbq place (been there 51 years and have a patent on their rib cooking method). Then pulled a wagon full of food and libations to our local park where there is a really good fireworks show (sky concert!) that draws tons of folks from all over the bay area. Sat on the grass visiting with friends and family while enjoying the bounty. Counted our blessings, remembered our fallen heroes, praised our service members, and vowed to fight to retain our freedoms. |
