Location: Michigan | the money , the glitz and glamor doesnt seem to be worth it to me if this is the workload of being a rock star.i just checked out the zappa plays zappa tour dates and come the summer months Dweezil plays just about every night in a different city.way to much work and travel for me.he must have cement fingertips after his tours.remember this doesn't count the endless hours of practicing before you go on tour. .... w o w ....
check out his 2009 tour dates.GWB

Location: ms | I`ve never been a star but i have been a working musician most of adult life. The first time i played for a living was around 1977 or 78. I can clearly remember driving through Louisiana late one night thinking i`d be less tired if i was digging ditches for a living. And i have done some digging so i know what i`m talking about. |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | '76 to '93 for the most part 24/7/365...loved it but would not do it again: no family, no home, just the reality of hotel room after hotel room; fast food or what have ya after fast food or what have ya; stage after stage/club after club...met a lot of famous people, tried a couple of other tangents, used too much "party, party, party"...just glad I'm still here...
Having a family and not being on the road 24/7 is just the best...I have the true stories but also the "scars" to prove 'em. I wasn't a Star: just a working musician whose guitar and voice paid the bills...very fortunate but as I said, I wouldn't trade what I have now... |

| Yeah, I'd take the cash. But over the years I've had enough of a glimpse of the life to be glad I didn't go in that direction as a career. For a lot of reasons. |
