Anyone use a keyboard amp for their acoustic guitar?

I know a keyboard amp is meant to handle a wider range of frequencies than an electric guitar amp, so it has to be better than an electric. Would plugging an ovation into a decent keyboard amp be a good idea? I might get one cheap from a friend.

That's what I was thinking. Right now I have only a giant vox amp that I use for my acoustic and my electric, but I barely play the electric. I'm moving, and thinking of selling the amp and buying the keyboard amp.

What about for an electric guitar? I mean, I guess keyboard amps probably "color" the sound a lot less and are more there to straight up amplify the sound, but with effects before the amp it might sound ok?

I also have been thinking about getting a good keyboard, so if I decide to I'll have an amp for it.

The BIG difference would be that an " Electric Amp. " has a DEDICATED Git. Speaker , with a - peak of say 10 db at around 2 - 4 KiloHerz , ( 2 kHz good for blues .. 3 - 4 KHz for Lead ) , it simply means that said speaker plays about Ten times Louder at those freq. which is highish mid -range ..., that Keys -Amp. will Not have such a speaker , now , Pedals Will help , but can Not completely provide the " character " of such a speaker , .. but fear Not , .. all you have to do is .. find/ build /buy a cab. with a true El. Git. speaker .. f x , Celestion .. Eminence.. connect that to the X-tra speaker-out on the Keys -Amp. , use it .. with / without build-in speaker ( X -periment ) ,..and yer in bizniz ..

Hope this helps
