A question for those left standing that know how to apply a screen type Ovation Logo?

Do I rub the backing and apply it dry or is there a medium like water or mineral spirits involved?
My guess is to moisten the backing before rubbing the applique.
This one has been waiting for a few years.

I haven't got a clue, but aren't these decals called "water slide decals"?

I would wait on Woody, or one of the other BFLG folks.

But I would think that they go on just like the decals on model cars/airplanes/tanks/boats etc...

That would be that the decal is on the top of the waxy paper. You dip them in water and slide them off onto the headstock, and position them very quickly.

But since you have waited years, I would wait for a professional opinion.

But that is a good score! (so don't go rubbing on it, it ain't an applique!)

Uh yuh. How could I miss that... Cuz it said "Wannabe has a question"... It is early.

Okay, it is early. John B usually answers his email about this time in the morning...

And I still think that they are water-slide like you said.

OMA you made my morning!
Can't even blame the time zones on that one.

So when do the Wizards of Greenwoods Road finish their Summer vacation?

I don't understand Woodrow. You've done decals like these before on your p/g's. What's different about the headstock?

OOOh Wow Man... I didn't even think about that.
I know they went on vacation about the time I wanted that Pacemaker rebuilt, but that was around Labor Day. (I think)

Paul,

These are the old style, I've only done the newer metalic type that come with an adhesive backing.

May be the last two in existance...

According to Kim's Voice Mail message he left me (thank's guys) John and he believe that you moisten the backing and transfer using a warm iron. Much like a Tee Shirt transfer.

Once applied and dried I will seal it in.
