Does it protect enough??
I'm thinking of hitting Boston & NYC
open mics and was thinking carring the guitar on my back might be better than carring a case in hand.
Any thoughts?? |

They give decent protection, especially from temperature extremes, but if the zipper lets go you have a problem I have seen older ones with broken zippers, and they still close with the velcro habdle, but they are now useless as far as really protecting the guitar.
I think what I would do is buy one of those light weight folding luggage carts and some bungie cords. I have used those before and they are great. |

| I looked at those and really liked the way they looked and felt, but I didn't feel good about the zippers.
A week ago I bought the 8158 molded hard shell case for $25 more instead.
Hey, is this is my first post? I have been reading so long, I forgot. |

| Thanks. Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack the case thread.
...but I don't think I will wait 10 more months for the next post(s). |

As far as cases go, hardness counts. |

I understand a hardshell is the best protection.
I'm looking for a compromise.
Is there harness that can go on a hardshell
to carry it as a backpack?? |

Keep checking Garage sales for one of those Jogger Baby Stroller things and you could pack a small Amp and pedals as well.
