I just received a package from Miguel that he mailed while he was here. Some beautiful woven items from Brazil, and a wood carving of a gentleman with a guitar that is absolutely beautiful! I need to ask him if he carved it himself and what kind of wood it is. I'm sure he won't be able to answer until he gets home, but I wanted to thank him publicly. I sure wish I could have met him while he was here but I know he was in good hands. As soon as Terry shows up with his camera I will post some pics. Thank you Miguel. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

the sculpture was carved upon request by a local artist. I'm not talented to do this kind of work. When I get there I'll ask him about the wood. The woven things are local handcraft, made of coconut fiber.

I have limited access to the board using my cell phone. As soon as I get home, I'll post pics.

Thanks for the shirt, Alison.
