Location: Brighty in Blighty | I'm still after a camp fire guitar and was thinking of a Elite T / 1778T. But what about a 1111-4?
Obviously no need for electrics. |

This one looks interesting. "A" braced, and ships world wide (who knows the cost)

Location: Midland, MI | My camp fire guitar (and beach guitar, and backyard guitar and "outdoor" guitar in general) is an 1868-4. Obviously, the natural -4 finish, being the best of any of the finishes, greatly enhances the woody tone of any Ovation played outdoors. ;)
That Legend looks like it's already been 'broken in.' No need to worry about banging it around. If I were looking for a camp fire guitar, I'd be interested in it; especially for less than $300. |

Location: Vernon CT | If your asking me, the 1112 is a "custom" baladeer. I think it had a "better" top wood and a little more bling (maybe??). I have owned a 1111 b/4 and the tone did appear better on my 1112. Volume was comparable |

My EliteT would be the "beach" guitar. |

Location: Budd Lake, NJ | My 1111-4, my ol' lady Gertrude, is a wonderful guitar. She has the neck that I measure all others by, has a wonderful, warm, rich alto-like timbre to her tone. She's middle-aged, like me, and has the blemishes that come with being well-loved over time...and the depth that gives her that rich tone destroys my shoulder...but...she's the one guitar I will NEVER part with.
(I just had the funny thought that when my time on earth is over, I'd like Gertrude, Jewel and Jazzey all arranged in stands around where I'm laid out--with Gertrude in the center, the queen flanked by her attendants. Yes, I know...I need to go take my meds now. :D ;) ) |
