Are the CS347 and the CSE34 the same guitar? The ovation website only lists the CS347. I'm new to Ovations and can't see a difference.

Thanks, Dick

Welcome Dick.

There are some minor differences...
(I could be wrong) I think the CSE34 only comes in Koa,
Whereas the CS347 comes in Cherry-Burst also.
Also, it seems that the end of the fretboard on the CSE looks more Elite-ish.
The CSE has black facing on the headstock whereas the CS347 has wood.
(I'd like the wood better with Koa)
The CSE has abalone-ish triangle fret-markers.
It seems that they both come with the OP-30 pre-amp.
I believe both have laminated top. (Once again, I could be wrong)
I would continue my research because I believe that there might be a difference in the neck profile.
Depending on whether they have a Kaman bar in there, or the newer version truss rod.

But the CSE is a Special Edition CS.

Sir Arthur, Thanks for the info. I'm going to try the guitar out this week to see if I want it. The seller did not list the model number, just a picture. Your response gave me a good understanding of the two models.

Just bought a Legend L777-4 last week and am really happy with it. Getting a luthier to set it up next week. What a guitar!!!

Thanks, Dick
