Location: Florida Central Gulf Coast | How much flak will I get for noting that the redwood has the 'warmth' of a koa? Or was it the 'tronics'?
Being a bit tired (ergo, no search at this time) , who was offering slabs of a tree they had to topple? Did anyone get any of it? |

Now if it plays and sounds good it would be the complete package. |

Location: South of most, North of few | I've seen their small ads in Acoustic guitar mag for the "yellow rose". Very ornate designs. Thanks Randy, that was very nice.
I'd have to sell every guitar I own to get a "tunnel 13" $13000.00 |

yikes
Probably should price out at 10K. They just had to bump it up to 13 to stay with the theme.
But I guess it's gonna be worth it to somebody. |

Very cool!
As far as Redwood having the warmth of Koa - they are closer than you'd think but so much can happen once the Luthier starts shaving and shaping! |

I have three Taylors that fit very nicely: a '98 615 w/presentation Brazilian Rosewood; a '98 W-65 12 string w/figured claro walnut top/back/sides; amd a '06 810 Fall Limited w/fantastic Madagasgar Rosewood back and sides...the 810 and the W-65 are beautifuly appointed w/abalone, mother of pearl, iveroid and curly maple and rival the nicest guitars of other botique builders...
Capo Mike got to experience the W-65 12 last weekend...mqybe he'll post his thoughts... |

I'd be surprised if the DeAutremont brother's 'miscalculation' wasn't the basis for the mail car scene in 'Butch Cassidy'. |
