Location: Tuscany, Italy | ... I was in Florence with SWMBO for a walk downtown; you know, lot of tourists, nice ice cream, beautiful weather, incredible sightseen of all the most important monuments and streets of the city, AND one of my favourite guitar shop….. to make it short I grant me a nice Xmas gift ;)
Frankly, it was not my intention to get a new git (I was saving for my next O…), but this one was playing and sound sooooo gooood and the price I got was so low compared with the quality of the guitar that I did not resist (and my wife agreed, lucky me). So I granted me my first real dread. The guitar exhibit a high grade solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides and neck. Ebony fret board and bridge AND pins. Headstock with rosewood overlay and Gotoh machine head 1:18, plus a beautiful hard case. Minimum of appointments, that I like, with no pick guard, that I like. It sounds terrific both in volume and tone. I don’t know how they can offer a well crafted guitar like that at an incredible price. I was told Eastman is imported directly in Italy by a pool of guitar shops that joined in a consortium… however here a pic. More on NING .

Randy you are right. Really impressive instrument with a clear super ringing voice. And handcrafted in Bejing. I've seen they are famous for the archtops guitars, but I also read very positive and encouraging review about Eastman flat tops guitars. There is a funny thing ; if you look at the label, everything is written in English with the exception of the year (Anno) that is in Italian. The serial number starts with IT letters; that could means these guitar are specific for our market (?) |

Must be kinda nice to be wandering around Florence, too!
Can't remember the last time I said that..."So, there I was wandering the streets of Florence..." |

I spent three and a half months in Paris Island, SC...don't recomend the accomidations although the food is ok and there is a pool; but the physicial training is world class and I can guarentee some major weight loss as well... |

I like Eastwoods - they make a couple of pretty nice looking units. |
