Location: Pocono Mountains of PA | Very recently, in an Ebay auction, the seller of an Ovation 2007 Collector's Edition BCS put the following in the auction ad:
This is one of the last of the USA made Ovations coming down the pike as all Ovation production guitars are moving over seas with the USA plant focusing solely and Adamas guitars.
I haven't been able to find anything indicating this on the net. Anyone know if this is true or was it just a sales tactic?
Thanks! :) |

The number of USA models keeps dwindling so people who don't really know start connecting the dots and making assumptions. But in the end they could very well be correct.
Personally I have no idea. |

Some O's are still being made in Connecticut, some are made overseas. The future is unknown for sure. |

Gee, do you think they just might possibily distort things a wee bit to make you buy faster?
I heard they were moving all production to North Carolina. |

I was over at the Grizzly showroon in Bellingham and I thought I saw Rick Hall and John Budny getting out of large rental truck at the loading dock. There was an "I Love Tacoma" sticker on the back of the truck...

Fender has a history mantaining its best as made USA. No reason to think otherwise here,
I would be surprised if new USA made models pop up next year. They had to get Guild up and running.
Once that done attention will move back to Hamer & Adamas & Ovation. |

Location: Pocono Mountains of PA | Thanks much, guys. I've been selling a lot of stuff on Ebay lately and maybe soon comes hubby's 07 Collector's Edition BCS and I, unlike some other sellers, don't want to and will not state anything that's not true. I've searched the net extensively and don't see a single thing about overseas production only, but rumours seem to be flying! Actually, I really hate to be listing the guitar and so does he, its such a beauty, but unemployment ain't cutting it... and he doesn't play it, so... Well, maybe we can wait a bit on it... :( |

Good luck. At least if you sell it here it will 'stay in the family' among people who appreciate the instrument for its own sake. |

There really was a punch bowl too. |
