Went and saw this yesterday. It was this or the Julia Childs movie. Turns out it was written or produced or something by the same guy who did Broke Back Nine, the touching story of a golfer and his caddy.
I guess most of it is true so it's interesting to see what happened behind the scenes to make it all happen. No music in it to speak of. Julia would have probably been a better movie.

For you menfolk out there, SWMBO will really enjoy "Julie & Julia;" if you need to find a way to get into her good graces, you'll do so by offering to take her to see it. An excellent film--Meryl Streep is her usual superlative self, and the movie is very, very well done.
There aren't too many films that I would bother to sit through twice, but this is one of them.

How you bean, Mauvis? Haven't seen you over on AG for a while.

Taking Woodstock is on the list. The last two I did see (Inglorious Basterds and District 9), TW came in "second".

I'll wait for the DVD ... but I do adore Meryl Streep ... I just don't care much for movie theaters ...

She & I are 'foodies' so Julie & Julia was first on the recent list, District 9 was awesome, I've walked out of as many Quentin Tarantino movies as I've seen but will give the new one a try. Not sure Woodstick is here yet...
